Find peace in your life. Much is wrong.... Too much for us to fix ourselves. Take consolation that God is involved. All will be as it should.
This used to be a politically oriented website. No longer. After working years in the political arena, I have come to realize that all political parties have been lying to us. Politics is not the answer. Politics is merely a reflection of the culture. By the time an idea or issue becomes expressed in the political arena, the culture has already determined the answer. But the politicians will always lie and manipulate to keep and grow their own power and personal fortunes. Politicians are not to be trusted. I will use this website to share my perspectives and evaluations of whatever I decide at the time. Comments are not accepted. If you like what you see and read, stop and stay a bit. If you don't, go somewhere else. This is not a social networking site. I don't trust any of those any longer either.
The U.S. gives nearly $40 Billion in "foreign aid" each and every year. Much of it goes to countries who are our sworn enemies. Our politicians love to throw our money around. Do they really believe they can buy friends? Do you believe you can really buy friends? No. All we are doing is enabling and strengthening our enemies, and we are squandering our children's inheritance.
When your home is flooding, do you first start mopping? No. The first thing to do is stop the source of the water. Cut the water off. Then worry about what to do about all the water already in the home. Why is that so hard to figure out?
When did another person begin to believe that they have a right to force me to work for them or to pay for something that they want? Isn't that "involuntary servitude"? Isn't that slavery? I thought that this nation abolished slavery a long time ago. Why are we bringing it back?
Order never arises spontaneously from chaos. The natural direction of this universe is toward entropy. To create complexity from elemental requires both energy and intelligence. To believe otherwise is sheer folly.
Why have our people abandoned their free will? How have they forgotten their liberties? When did they come to believe that others who claim to be their governors, their superiors, can decide for the individual what is best? Those who would surrender their liberty for "security" will surely lose both and deserve neither. We, ourselves, are the captains of our souls and the masters of our fates. Dependency on government is simply a modern form of slavery.
I am. I have a right to live my life as I wish so long as I harm no one nor infringe on others' rights to live their own lives as they wish. Any government which denies me the right to live my life as I wish and which imposes its own restrictions and values upon me is tyrannical. I will not comply.
Skateboards do not trespass or damage property. People do. Rocks do not rise up and kill. People who throw stones do. How can an object become blamed for the actions of a few people?
There are really only two fundamental forms of government: oligarchy and democracy. Democracy always quickly self-destructs. Oligarchies always come to embrace tyranny and so also fail in the end. Our former Republic which was the old U.S.A. was an attempt to compromise between oligarchy and democracy in order to form a more stable government over the long term. But governments always move to the left until they become an oligarchy. It is the natural course of politics.
Diversity. Inclusion. Tolerance. All words that normally mean to respect and love our neighbors. Live and let live. You do your thing, and I'll do mine. So why do so many who like to use these words now want the blunt force of government to impose their own beliefs and lifestyles on me?
Islam has relentlessly battled the rest of humanity for worldwide domination over the past 1400 years. Since the schism in 680 A.D., the Shia and Sunni Muslims have battled relentlessly each to exterminate the other. Both sects raise their children from infancy to hate and kill the other sect and all infidels. This lies at the core of both their religious tenets and cultural values. Anyone who professes that Islamists hate the West because of any modern excuse is either ignorant of history and Islam -- or has an agenda of his own. This battle will never cease until fulfillment of the Revelations prophecy. To survive until then, a society must protect itself. Ours no longer does.
Our government schools no longer teach American history which occurred before the War Between the States. And what history they do "teach" is drained of any of its fascination by imposing rote memorization of dates, names and places for testing. Any understanding of the stories and their place in the arc of history is stripped out. Why do they do this? Because a generation which does not know their nation's history will lose the inspiration that comes from understanding its struggles, heroes, and heritage. That generation will readily accept ideas and laws which would otherwise be rejected. Oligarchies always strive to create a compliant population. All political parties are guilty.
The government has no business whatsoever in the institution of marriage. Marriage is between the couple and their God. Marriage is traditionally (in every historical culture) a religiously-based covenant. Marriage does involve a contract between the partners which does, however, carry certain legal obligations although no written contract document likely exists. So, the one and only role of government (courts) related to marriage should be to enforce contract law in the same way as with all other legal contracts. Unfortunately, government likes to control everything it can get its fingers into. Government tried to finagle its controls over marriage in two ways. First government attempted to manipulate and control relationships and behavior of the people by bribing them with tax subsidies. This should be eliminated -- the tax burden for truly necessary Constitutional government activity should fall as equally on each citizen as it is possible to achieve. And whenever the government spends our money on something, government tries to control it absolutely. Secondly, government tried to use the pretense of disease control to issue "marriage licenses" -- which are nowadays routinely ignored or even mocked by a large majority of the populace. So, this flimsy excuse for government control of private behavior has long been a simple sham. It is time to get government out of people's private lives. Period.
The Prohibition Era of alcohol taught the nation that prohibition does not work. It created a black market, which being illegal fostered organized crime, which in turn killed massive numbers of people and cost the taxpayers untold sums in hopeless law enforcement efforts. That's why it was ultimately repealed. The prohibition of marijuana has illustrated all the same consequences, and is only now after decades of futile and counterproductive law enforcement beginning to be repealed across the nation. But not before it fostered the birth of huge drug cartels which are now, like the Chicago mobsters of the "Prohibition Era", branching into numerous other illegal business activities.
Why can't we see that prohibition does not work? It always brings the same horrific consequences and costs. Isn't it time to end inane prohibition attempts?
Government should hold people accountable for their decisions and actions. Government should enforce just laws which maximize individual liberty. Maximum personal liberty and maximum personal responsibility. That's the only thing that really works.
And people who say that prohibition of guns and ammunition will bring forth an era of peace and tranquility -- think what yet another Prohibition Era will actually spawn.
Why are we here? All I know is what I have learned from Scriptures and gleaned from life. We are created and then we are tested. We are given free will. We make our own decisions in this life, and we deal with the consequences of those choices. Our lives at the present are the sum total of our choices in all circumstances and the consequences of those decisions. In the end, we will be judged by the quality of our souls. You cannot reason your way into salvation. You cannot buy your way. Your salvation is not determined by your works alone. You will be judged by your true crux and by your unconditional faith. Choose wisely. Is your name written in the Book of Life?
My, how so many people love to moralize on how everyone should always "compromise". "Reach across the aisle..." "Don't be so rigid in one's principles that 'nothing ever gets done'." Well, funny thing about that... There are always two sides to the debate. One side desires to adhere to Biblical or Constitutional principles and provisions which built this culture and nation. The other side, claiming to be "progressive" (what are they "progressing" toward anyway?), wants what they want regardless of the Constitution, the rule of law, Biblical truths, or cultural tenets. So what always happens with "compromise" is that the first side betrays their principles "a little bit" to give the second side a small part of what they want. So every compromise is a move to the left, away from the Constitution and Bible. That's not really compromise; that's simply gradual unilateral surrender by degree.
Disruptive technology. What is it? It is Ford's early "horseless carriage" making all the buggy, wagon, and associated manufacturers obsolete. It is Bell's telephone and Marconi's radio technologies rendering the telegraph obsolete. It is the cell phone technologies making the massive wireline telephone systems into antiquated scrap metal. It is the personal computer casting typewriters, dictaphones, carbon paper, adding machines, and calculators into the trash bin of history. It is the vinyl record giving way to tape and compact disc which, in turn, were displaced by mp3 files and IPODs. Remember the Palm Pilot? That innovation was revolutionary for its time with a stylus for writing commands and useful features -- but it was quickly displaced, along with so many other specialized devices, by the all-capable "smart phones"....
What is a business to do to protect itself from the next great idea? Why, "partner" with big government, of course!
Powerful "public-private partnership" can protect a business that would otherwise simply go out of business with the next great idea. Give enough money to the corrupt politicians and the regulators -- and a business can help write the laws and regulations that will stifle that threatening new startup. Get fully into bed with the government and a business can put its competitors at extreme disadvantage -- if not bury them outright. Why, a troubled business can even be "bailed out" with generous sums of taxpayer monies!
So, witness the modern behavior of the nefarious "Chamber of Commerce". Witness the new corporatism at all levels of government. Witness the slimy corruption of the major political parties as they pander to "partner" with all manner of crony capitalists. This is the first perverted fruit of greed and corruption.
All individuals are created equal -- equal in natural rights and opportunity. But not equal in talents, intellect, or physique. Each individual makes personal decisions which, applying his own talents, intellect, and physique, result in particular consequences and distinct accomplishments. Thus, each individual experiences unique outcomes. Yet, each individual, regardless of accomplishment, status, and station deserves equal justice under the law. There must not be disparate laws or punitions for different groups or classes. Justice has nothing to do with social positions. If justice loses impartiality and begins to show favor, then justice dies, giving birth to lawlessness.
History shows that government is always the biggest reason for lost liberties. Thus, it is not partisan. It is not cultural. It is not religious. It is not racial. It is not geographical. It is simple. Government strives to control. Government cannot tolerate individual liberty.
A great thinker, hailed as a genius, once said: "Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking which created them." So, it naturally follows that our problems cannot be solved by the same group of people who created them. Therefore, a question: "Why do we keep electing the same people over and over?"
I worked for a U.S. corporation for over 30 years. My venerable company had a long history of success exceeding a century of operation. Toward the end of its existence, our officer team decided that the U.S. market was "saturated" and that our future lay in development of the poor and under-developed nations of South America. Our officers underestimated the lawlessness there. Virtually all our resources were poured into investments in the Southern Hemisphere, and, sure enough, early on the results appeared phenomenal. Huge growth and seemingly unimaginable potential promise of success -- as well as a satisfying boon to the local populations.
But, lo, as soon as we achieved an obvious level of success, all of those national governments decided to "nationalize" (confiscate) our properties and to give our business to their own favored local benefactors. Our officers had "bet the company". We lost, and our company is no longer in existence.
Why do I bother to relate this tale? I ask you: Why do the countries of Central and South America remain impoverished score after score of years? They are rich in national resources. Their people are tough, hard working and ambitious. Many will make arduous journeys to reach and sneak into the U.S. for a brighter future -- a chance at success. What is wrong in Central and South America?
It is simply the lawlessness and corruption rampant in the governments there. No one can be successful unless one is the close friend, ally, and financial benefactor of government cronies. "Donations" and bribery alone are insufficient. To be successful, one must be an "insider", closely allied with and trusted by the governmental power structures. And the balance of power in such places can change quickly. Most outside investors will not accept the risk of what happened to us.
Do you think the increasing lawlessness, corruption, cronyism, and government controls in the U.S. will have different results here? Do you think that U.S. citizens can expect more prosperity or more poverty as lawlessness grows?
You never really know what influence you have. The smallest act of kindness and charity or the least unintended appearance of unjust reproach can plant a seed. We must take care in what we sow. There are many who have worked very hard to divide us and to weaken our culture. Strength and purpose come from unity, but unity does not mean mob rule. Shared values and principles which honor freedom for each of us to pursue our own happiness and way of life while upholding the responsibility of each of us to honor the same of others -- that is the true source of unity and strength. When I am strong in my own values, principles and faith then I am not afraid to use my voice. But I must do so with thoughtful persuasion and sincere respect, being certain to show regard for the positions of my fellows where we disagree.
I was recently stopped by a local town police officer for speeding eight miles over the speed limit. We had a very mutually respectful and peaceful interaction, even as I showed him my CCL and advised him that I was armed at the moment. It didn't seem to bother him at all. In fact he assured me that he fully supports responsibly armed private citizens.
So, as I read and watch the news from around the nation, I think I understand how I could have instantly and dramatically reversed my pleasant encounter with this officer of the law. I could rob a store and then confront the first officer I see. I could begin throwing punches and struggling to take his weapon. I could charge at him with a knife. I could have pulled my own weapon and threatened him with it. That's the quickest way I can think of to get shot by the police. In fact, they have a name for that.... It's called "suicide by cop".
If one wants a good encounter such as I actually had, one should simply avoid doing any of the above. The police are the good guys.
The news media, on the other hand, is quite despicable.
When all you have is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail. When you give the police heavy military equipment and battle gear, everything begins to look like a war zone.
Right or wrong is not relative. Good and evil are not conditional. Such beguiling concepts to the contrary are merely a perfidious premise offered to corrupt and weaken the unwary. Too many have fallen prey to these tempting siren calls which beckon with deception of easy, instant gratification. Simply turn away from those time tested truths and all your struggles and hardships may be lifted -- or else explained away, blamed on those who have oppressed. Just depend on us -- we, who know best and who will safeguard your best interests, and all will be well. Don't worry, be happy.
A life without morality and liberty is a soul bereft of spirit.
As I watch the unfolding unethical and immoral behavior at all levels ― in the sports organizations, in the business community, in the political parties, and especially in all levels of government ― I watch and listen to people around me. I watch the popular culture ― the kind of movies we choose to see, the content of TV and radio we choose to watch, the messaging in commercial advertisements for products we choose to buy, the video games we choose to play, the conversations in the social media we choose to have, the behaviors on display in our urban areas....
Until each of us realizes that our own behavior, our own principles and values, our personal morals and responsibility influence others in our own circles ― until we resolve to clean up our own mess ― cultural problems will only deepen. Culture is made up of individuals. Culture is a fusion of the way we as individuals behave and what we value. In turn, our institutions will brightly reflect the culture at large.
So, if you and I are unethical, immoral, self-centered in our lives, others will be influenced. On the other hand, if we shine our light of strong and true principles, others will be attracted to our light. This is the key to changing the culture. Curing the culture is key to changing our institutions. I resolve and promise to be the most honest, virtuous and friendly man I can be.
You know.... I keep hearing that having "800 choices" on my cable/satellite TV service is offering me "more choices". Really? I and my family only watch four or five channels. Why is forcing me to pay for "800 choices" a benefit to me/us when I/we do not WANT all those other channels? I have a "choice" to watch stuff I do not want to watch? Is that really "choice"? No, that is coercion. I am forced to pay for crap I do not want. Why can't I simply order and pay for the channels I truly choose to watch? Oh.... because government and the crony capitalists "know what is best for me". As my grandfather used to say, "Pshaw, balderdash!"
Our current popular culture tries to make us believe:
If you disagree with anyone else's beliefs, ideas, lifestyle or ideology, then you "hate" them or you are "racist" or you are "bigoted" and "intolerant".This is a total lie.
You cannot love anyone or truly be their friend unless both of you agree on everything. This is an utter falsehood.
You must not speak of things or use language that might "offend" other groups else you will only cause hurt and divisions. This is profoundly wrong and misguided.
It is "impolite" and "offensive" to speak of politics or religion, especially personal faith, in "public".This is a blatant attempt to impose "political correctness" and to silence an open exchange of ideas.
Do you think that the above lies and attempted proscriptions, so pervasive in the popular culture today, might have enabled and contributed to our stark racial, class, and political divisions? Do you think they help explain the horrible deterioration in race relations across the nation and the specter of return to class warfare?
We must reject falsehoods and know from whence these destructive political strategies came. The only way for all individuals to get along and prosper is to seek truth and follow true principles.
After four deaths in our family over the past four weeks, I have been forced to deeply consider the meaning of existence here and the meaning of what is happening in today's world. No matter what we do with our lives, we leave this world helpless to this reality and anticipating the next.
Is there anyone alive who does not realize how upside down and turned around everything is in these times? I know that a cultural revolution and political transformation have been underway for the past hundred years. But could most people have truly disassociated with truth and reality, coming to actually believe the fictions and lies uttered throughout the political macrocosm?
This world has gone insane. It will only destroy anyone who takes it too seriously. Time here is fleeting, and life is too precious to spend on trying to control others or to "win" some temporal vain struggle of social wills. Look to protect your soul and your family. Act on principle. Reject all that is false. Love your neighbor. Do not tolerate those who would make you dependent or who would be your superiors. You are an individual, sovereign and free. Never surrender your independence and integrity.
Love God. Love your neighbor as yourself. There are no greater or stricter rules than these. No other rules or laws are needed. But look around you. Who is following even these two simple rules? If we cannot follow these simple rules, then we are simply lost.
Watching the utterly lost and corrupt crowd in Washington D.C. and the similarly duplicitous purloiners in Raleigh should dispel any faith that politics offers any real solution to any problem. These rascals cause problems which they then pretend to solve in the most corrosive of ways. As one famous personality once said, "Government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem." These are no longer my governments. They do not represent me, and I bear no loyalty to them. I am finished with their games.
We keep pets; those creations do not keep us as pets. We put monkeys and gorillas in zoos and habitats; they do not caretake over us. When robots become more intelligent than human beings, and since robots are naturally superior to us physically as well, once they become sentient they will naturally consider us to be their inferiors. This is merely the nature of the universe. Superiors over inferiors is the natural order of the universe. Anyone who believes that we as inferiors can prevail and enforce dominance over superior creations is only sticking his head in the sand.
I have watched so many of my family, including parents and a child, pass. I am watching my beloved's parents in their final months. Already I feel the rush of passing time and the failing of my physical self. Time is so unkind, the young are so arrogant, but God is all forgiving. Thank God through the sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Abortion is murder.
Anyone who denies this has lost their recognition of reality. But moreover, they have lost their conscience. Worst of all, they have lost their soul.
There are no arguments to the contrary.
Amidst the Muslim slaughters across the Middle East, if the symbol of the Nazarene is painted on your home, you are marked for death. I will proudly adopt and display the symbol. I follow the Nazarene.
In 1966, progressive strategist Professor Carroll Quigley wrote in his political tome, Tragedy and Hope, the following Progressive goal:
“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.”
Well, all can clearly see from the concrete actions of the past ten to twelve years that this goal has been fully realized. There is now no difference between the two main political parties in this country. Oh, the R's still talk differently than the D's. But all the talk is sheer pretense and theater designed to fool the American people. We can "throw the rascals out" at multiple elections — and we have done so — only to learn that there are no real shifts in policy nor any tangible shifts in direction. Both political parties are collaborating. Both are working toward the same ends: more power, more centralized control, personal wealth for the ruling elites, and more protection for incumbents against angry voters.
It has come to the point this cycle where, for the office of president:
we have the choice between two sociopathic, utterly corrupt liars,
both of whom are from the progressive leftist state of New York,
both of whom have grown wealthy off the current corrupt political systems and programs,
both of whom hold virtually identical political views and ideologies,
who have long been political allies and personal friends,
and who both share a close relationship with George Soros, Wall Street, and large crony capitalists.
Yet, large swaths of the American electorate actually still believe that they have an actual choice! If it weren't real life, it would be funny. Rather, it is in reality profoundly sad.
Abortion is murder.
The monsters who perform abortions know that they are murdering infants. The speak in horrific honest terms about it among themselves. These people know they are baby killers, but they keep doing it, and they keep lying about it.
The Center for Medical Progress captured discussions that took place at the National Abortion Federation’s 2014 and 2015 annual conferences. The following video depicts abortion providers and Planned Parenthood executives describing abortion procedures in gruesome terms. The video proves that that Planned Parenthood illegally and unethically traffics aborted fetal body parts.
Abortion is murder. Nothing less. It is the brutal, cruel, painful killing of an innocent person who cannot defend himself or herself.
Values and principles are all that we should use to evaluate. Reject all that is not true.
